UN Women’s Guild Charity Bazaar in Vienna
For many years now the UNWG Charity Bazaar is taking place in Vienna next to the UNO headquarters. It is organised by the United Nations Women’s Guild which was started by UN employees in Vienna and is helping children in need around the world. Money for this purpose is collected mainly during the Charity Bazaar which takes place every year in November.
Our participation
Thanks to our cooperation with the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Poland in Vienna we have the honour to take part in this event. Our products enjoy great popularity during the bazaar. Some customers come every year to our stand to buy Christmas gifts or new pieces of pottery from Bolesławiec. From the money that we collect during the bazaar a given percentage goes to the UN Women’s Guild. This way we support their charity work.
Polish products
Apart from our ceramics you can also find other traditional products on the Polish stand. Every year the assortment is changing a bit but mostly you can find there: salt cosmetics from the Wieliczka Salt Mine, jewellery and cloths with folk patterns, Polish sweets, organic spices and Polish alcohols.
Food
The bazaar is divided into two parts. One of them is filled with different traditional products and the other one offers food from all around the world. You can try there traditional food and drinks from over 80 countries. On the Polish food stand you can eat every year pierogi, try “ogórek kiszony” (Polish style pickled cucumber) and buy a Polish beer.
